Wheel and Track
With the event “Young People meet Agricultural Engineering”, the trade journal top agrar offered some 20 young agricultural machinery enthusiasts the opportunity to get to know the major manufacturers in the industry closer. A team of young farmers and students were on the road with Challenger and Fendt in July. At the Agritechnica, the young people met each other again and, naturally, took the opportunity to visit Hall 9.
After a tour through the stand with Fendt Marketing Director Roland Schmidt, they discussed the experiences of their four-day trip, which was held under the motto “Wheel or Track”, with Sepp Nuscheler, Fendt Press Relations Officer, and Rasso Schatz, Challenger Sales Manager. The “Wheel or Track Tour” included factory visits and talks with operational managers of agricultural companies, where both Challenger tracked tractors and Fendt tractors are used in operation. On a farm in Thüringen, the participants tested both systems under different operating conditions. The results were clear: wheel and track Both systems have their advantages and complement each other perfectly.
At the end of the tour in July of this year, the participants were invited to the Fendt works in Marktoberdorf. After a tour of the factory, the young people discussed topics concerning the agricultural equipment industry with the Fendt management, including the product line, the market trend as well as the trend in development. At the Agritechnica, the team expressed their warm thanks again for the trip. “It was just super. We had a great programme and were accompanied by really nice people. We were taken seriously, even at the highest level,” said Mattis Hellinger for the entire team.
