Harald Willmann is pleased to win the grand prize of the “100,000 Varios” contest.
On Monday, 14 December, the Fendt team had a pre-Christmas job to do: to inform the winner of the international “100,000 Vario transmissions” contest about winning the valuable grand prize – a new 209 Vario standard tractor with stepless transmission. The winner among nearly 30,000 participants, Harald Willmann from the Black Forest, will soon be able to call the first 200 Vario manufactured in series production his own. The other 49 winners will be contacted at the beginning of the new year. They will have the pleasure of test driving a Fendt 200 Vario for either one week or one day.

When Manfred Pröbstle, Regional Manager South, Georg Leicht, Fendt factory representative and Ludwig Disch, Regional Manager Southwest for ZG Technik and his son visited the Willmann family on their farm near Buchenbach in the Black Forest, the lucky winners had no idea what was coming. They were told that as loyal customers of more than 20 years, they would be visited by the representatives. After Pröbstle finally “let the cat out of the bag” and announced that they had won, the Willmann family was flabbergasted. Ludwig Disch, who has cultivated a good business relationship with the Willmans over the years, was especially happy that Harald Willmann won the contest: “The Willmanns have really earned the grand prize, not only because they are loyal Fendt customers that stand behind our products, but also because they are a fine and dedicated family that has just finished an arduous year.”
Harald and Martina Willmann, with the help of his parents Richard and Klara, cultivate 30 hectares of arable and grassland as well as 27 hectares of forest on the Schneiderhof farm in Buchenbach. Three Fendt tractors – a Fendt 280 SA, 308 CI and a 611 LSA fitted with forestry equipment – are currently in use on their farm. With 24 dairy cows, dairy production is the main pillar of their farming business. Their four holiday flats, which have a four-star rating, are the second most important pillar for the Schneiderhof farm. The vicinity to Freiburg, the Feldberg and the Kaiserstuhl region, make the Willmanns' location a prime area for tourism.
Nearly 30,000 people from around the world entered the “100,000 Varios” contest on the Fendt homepage. More than half of the entries came from Germany, followed by Austria with nine percent and Italy with eight percent. The winner of the grand prize and the winners of the 200 Vario test driving weeks and days were picked electronically using a random generator.
