Technological requirements for professional applications are constantly increasing. The growing number of operating hours is just as important a factor here as are time and costsaving implement combinations. For more than 30 years, Fendt has been offering complete solutions for the non-agricultural sector in cooperation with renowned implement manufacturers. With some 600 tractors sold, this sector is making up an increasingly greater share of the overall sales of Fendt tractors.

With a Fendt, customers not only purchase a tractor, but a powerful implement combination with which they can perform specialised tasks - optimally and, most important of all, economically. Fendt also offers consultation for custom solutions. Whether for municipal or construction work, applications in the bio-energy sector or other specialty operations - Fendt has the ideal solution.

95 to 360 hp - stepless over the entire output range

The Varios from Fendt are ideally suited for non-agricultural applications. With infinitely variable speeds, power reserves can be utilised that are not available to synchromesh or powershift transmissions. With conventional transmissions, the tractor is always running one gear too high or low, because of the steps. In contrast, the Vario is always driving at the right speed during all specialty work. The hidden power reserves between the gears are mobilised and enable power flow without interruptions.

The intelligent engine-transmission management enables top speed at significantly lower engine speeds - the basis for lower fuel consumption.

In the municipal sector, overall profitability is optimised through the use of perfectly matched implement combinations. Fendt offers customers complete solutions for maximum performance with low operating costs.

High payload

The high axle loads, which are standard on Fendt, enable high payloads for heavy implement combinations in non-agricultural applications. For example, tandem mowers can be mounted and operated without a problem. A low weight-power ratio, 35 kg/hp on the 415 Vario, optimises fuel consumption and permits high payloads.

Outstanding operating comfort

Perfect operating comfort is essential to allow customers to concentrate fully on their work. Using the Variocentre, the tractor management system (TMS) and the headland management VariotronicTI, drivers are always driving in the economically optimum range, while performing work perfectly - without signs of fatigue.

TMS simplifies work considerably when using complex implements - the driver controls the tractor conveniently with the driving pedal and has his hands free for operating the implements.

Maximum driving safety - perfect ride comfort

Fendt offers maximum ride comfort provided by the standard specification front axle suspension (300 Vario optional), the pneumatic cab suspension (300, 400 and 700 Vario optional) and standard-equipped shock load stabilising. The dual-circuit four-wheel braking system (900 Vario) and the Fendt Stability Control FSC (900 Vario) guarantee optimum safety. With these, Fendt offers ride comfort and safety on par with commercial vehicles.

Advantages over construction machines

The greatest advantage of tractors compared to construction machines is that they can be used for all kinds of operations, not only specialised applications. Furthermore, the purchase price of a tractor and implement is much less than that of a specialised machine. The high profitability of these implement combinations are optimised by low fuel consumption. A further enormous advantage of tractors compared to specialty construction machines is that they are considerably easier to transport from site to site.

Premium line of additional equipment

For professional applications, Fendt offers a high-quality line of additional equipment, such as the Fendt Cargo front loader, which is optimally adapted to the Vario tractor. A high lift capacity of 2950 kg over the whole height for the 5X/90 and lifting heights that permit trouble-free loading of lorries are only two of numerous positive features.

The capabilities of Fendt high horsepower tractors are finding increasing use in civil engineering projects. They are valued for their high material handling capacity with dump trailers in difficult terrain as well as their high PTO power in combination with the Vario transmission for recultivation and soil stabilisation operations.

Fendt also offers customers individualised tyre concepts - starting from tyres for golf course maintenance to heavy transport up to special tyres for forestry applications.

Since, in addition to classic applications, specialised applications are increasing in the professional sector, Fendt offers a fullfunction reversing driver station as an option for the 900 Vario range, to meet the requirements for demanding applications. That turns the 900 Vario into an uncompromising two-way vehicle.

But not only proprietary equipment, but also equipment from renowned manufacturers is decisive for optimum implement combinations. All implements are tested extensively at Fendt so that the components in the package are optimally adapted to each other and comply with all legal regulations. Fendt already begins work with these partners in the development phase to ensure that customers are provided with the perfect solution for specialised requirements.
