Although the weather was dismal the mood was bouyant at the National Fruit Show on 21st October. A lot of this confidence was down to the optimisim in the soft fruit industry but an extra frisson was created by the unveiling of the latest offering from the Marktoberdorf stable designed especially for fruit farms and vineyards.

The 200 Vario V/F/P series spans a horse power range of  70 - 110 and takes advantage of  leading edge Fendt technology. A new 3 cylinder Sisu power unit provides the muscle which is coupled to the stepless Fendt Vario transmission to give an industry leading combination.
The tractor can be driven either on the foot pedal or, as thousands of Fendt users have found, through using the joystick where foward, reverse, acceleration and cruise mode can all be set and controlled . The Fendt powertrain has the optional extra of Vario TMS (Tractor Management System) software which matches engine speed to the applied load therefore keeping fuel costs down and improving driver efficiency.
Although a classic narrow tractor the cab has been completely redesigned by the Fendt engineers to provide a flat floor, long leg room, quiet working environment which benefits from fingertip joystick control.

As usual Fendt has set the standard in the marketplace against which all tractors must be judged.
