The subsidiary of the tractor manufacturer AGCO/Fendt, Fendt Nissan, looks back on more than 40 years of experience in forklifts. Starting in 1961, rough terrain forklifts designed by Fendt were produced in the Kemptener Maschinenfabrik, which is now a renowned producer of hydraulic components. Since production of forklifts was discontinued in 1979, Nissan industrial forklifts have been distributed successfully at the Kempten location – starting in 2003 concentrated in the Fendt Fördertechnik GmbH materials handling division.
Fendt Materials Handling has some 50 sales partners for Nissan products in Germany, which offer cohesive services from consultation, over financing, to application-specific forklift equipment. Specifically for Bavaria, the company has set up its own direct sales centre in Munich-Unterhaching – a unique combination on the German market.Fendt forklifts
With some 700 model variants in the Nissan fork lift line, as well as an extensive selection of additional components and accessories, Fendt Materials Handling offers solutions for many different kinds of requirements. A series of innovative diesel, fuel gas and electric powered forklifts with payloads up to 7 t form the basis of the product line.
In combination with the accessories offered, the fork lifts can meet most requirements.
Since Nissan Forklift Europe acquired Atlet in September 2007, further expansion of the market share of the company is expected, because Fendt Materials Handling has now become a new full-liner on the German market and has extended its product line with the tried and tested Atlet products for in-company transport needs.
