The rear end loader Cargo R, which Fendt will present at the big Field Day in Wadenbrunn as a project study, promises more versatility in operations with the high-horsepower tractors from the 800 and 900 Vario model ranges.
Combination of two tried and proven technologies
Customers have long requested a front end loader for high-horsepower tractors. While searching for the optimum solution, especially in regard to the best customer benefits, the task was to analyse the areas of application in question. Typical loader work with high-horsepower tractors does not take place in the farmyard, but mostly in the field or in larger halls. Since Fendt is the only manufacturer that offers tractors with a factory-installed reversing driver station, as in the new 800 and 900 Vario ranges, and the experience with the new Cargo front loader range was very positive, both of these technologies were combined to develop a rear-mounted loader, the Cargo R.
Best visibility, even with high unloading heights
For the rear end loader, the arm of the Cargo 4A85 front end loader has been mounted on a special bracket on the rear power lift. This rear end loader is only possible through the combination of two of the many options that make Fendt tractors so versatile: the reversing driver station and hydraulic support of the lower links on the rear power lift.
The rear end loader has a maximum lift capacity of 3,000 daN, the lift height when the lower link is horizontal is 4,125 mm and an impressive 5050 mm when the rear power lift is raised. The enormous lift height as well as the long dumping distance, make the rear end loader ideal for loading large dump trailers or trucks as well as for handling large bales or for operations in biogas facilities. Based on the reverse drive option, it also permits high manoeuvrability. The precise control of implements, thanks to excellent visibility, makes work easier. Having the loader at the rear provides a perfect view to the implement and when driving on the road, the loader does not obstruct the driver's field of vision.
Fendt sees the big Field Day in Wadenbrunn as the ideal platform to discuss this concept with practising experts.
