Fendt Katana 65

BREAKTHROUGH ON NEW FENDT PATHS
Its first public appearance was in Wadenbrunn and since May 2011 it has been in operation in the first customers' fields: the Fendt Katana 65 forage harvester. The goals that the engineers in Marktoberdorf set for this development were ambitious. Now the Fendt Katana 65 impresses with the highest quality chopping results,
outstanding economy and an ergonomic operating system in the new Visio5 cab

EFFICIENT PATHS

The chopped material flows very efficiently, with a high throughput. From the feeding units, to the unique swinging frame for the header, to the six feed rolls, to the large closed cutterhead to the powerful discharge system, the Fendt Katana has been designed for high output. At the same time, the refined technology of the chopping units also guarantees very high quality of the chopped material.

POWERFUL ON NEW PATHS

The 653hp 16-litre V8 engine from Mercedes-Benz delivers power, durability and reliability. With the SCR technology for exhaust after-treatment, the Fendt Katana 65 achieves high fuel-efficiency while maximising performance.
In operations that require less power, such as in grass, the ECO drive mode guarantees even lower fuel consumption.

GENEROUSLY DIMENSIONED AND ERGONOMIC DESIGN

The completely newly developed Visio5 cab provides extra ergonomics and operating comfort, extra visibility and illumination and, most of all, extra space. Operator ergonomics have been exceptionally well-realised in the generously sized cab – from the legroom to the perfectly designed multi-function joystick. The large glazed areas give operators an excellent view to the feed elements and the entire discharge area of the unloading tube.
